Garden Update 6/30/11

These are my giant pumpkins. They are doing well in this semi shaded spot.

Front yard garden seems to be doing well. Sunflowers are getting taller. Everything else is nice and green and ready to bloom any second. The Stella de Oro bloomed yesterday.

Kids helped plant these Mammoth sunflowers. I can't wait for them to reach their mature height. They can reach up to 15 feet.

Morning glory and Moon flower. I put some twine on the branch tee pee. I really hope they take off up the trellis soon.

Just another view.

I love the texture of the leaves.

Not sure when these will bloom. (Liatris Spicata) Tall spike rose-purple showy cluster.

Morning glory. Slow growing.

More pics

Purple cone flower.

Kids garden. My daughter who is a picky vegetable eater picked a lettuce from the garden and ate it.

Mammoth sunflower

Kids flower garden. Coleus, Impatient, Zinnias

I finally wrapped twine around the trellis. My own twist to it.
